EduBrite was acquired by LinkedIn in June 2022. As a result, we are pausing new business development moving forward.

Training Creation / Course Authoring

EduBrite allows for drag and drop of your existing content into our browser based course builder. Using our platform you can create quizzes and assemble a eLearning course in no time. EduBrite gives a great way to reuse your existing content in any format and create beautiful courses with fully customizable tracking and reporting. You can also deliver content in SCORM / AICC / LTI format or use our built-in authoring tool, EduBrite gives you the full flexibility to decide.

Course Authoring (Management) Features

Create lessons from any file

Simply drag and drop any presentation, word or pdf file in the course editor. You can also create and edit content using the built-in lesson content editor if you don't like to upload files. Lastly, as an optional feature you can set a minimum time for each piece of content in the lesson. Setting timers for lessons is great for compliance training to ensure minimum time to completion or to ensure the learner has time to review the content before moving forward.

Video or Audio

Add audio/video lessons using any existing MP4, FLV or MP3 file. Or add audio/video to any presentation / document lessons so as to play it side by side. Finally, EduBrite supports integrations with Youtube and Vimeo natively.

Learning Communities

Informal learning & resource sharing within groups. Map your org structure to hierarchical groups and also allow organically created groups by the users.

Gamification

Award standard badges or upgrade to open badge 2.0 to allow your learners to share their metadata verifiable badges across the web. Allow your learners to compete on total badges, total credits, and total learning time to drive engagement. Set subgroup level tracking so only close colleagues can see each other's current leaderboard status.

Animation/Transition/Voice-over

Create lessons with animated slides and voice over via powerpoint with narration. Utilize embedded MP3, WAV or WMA audio files or embedded videos. EduBrite automatically does full conversions to make your content compatible for all devices.

SCORM

Create content in SCORM using articulate, adobe captivate or your favorite pre-packaged content from a content provider. We support importing Scorm packages in both 1.2 and 2004 versions.

AICC

AICC is a slightly newer tech compared to SCORM. It allows for content to be consumed within our LMS while still being stored outside of EduBrite. You can also upgrade to allow your company to share AICC with other companies. The benefits of AICC compared to SCORM is that you continue to own that content and can take away access at any time.

Quiz or survey

EduBrite has its own built-in Quiz / test / survey authoring tool. Embed any quiz or survey into your course after a set of lessons to test the knowledge of learners or get their feedback with surveys.

External Content

Easily add external videos from YouTube & Vimeo. Import files you already have in Google Drive, Dropbox etc, without having to go through the upload process again. For Atlassian Confluence users- embed your Confluence page directly into a lesson, EduBrite will automatically pull any changes made in Confluence into the embedded lesson page.

Course outline (table of content)

We know that learning doesn't have to follow a sequential path all the time, therefore we allow you to organize lessons in hierarchical modules and topics. We also show a table of content embedded in your word, PDF, and pptx files in the course outline.

Rules

Make any lesson or quiz mandatory to make sure that learners understand and absorb the knowledge provided in one module or topic before they can move to the next.

Reusable content

Pick lessons and scorms from other courses and make a new course for a specific type of learners. Content linking promotes reusability of content without losing the ability to uniquely track each one of them. Content linking is a powerful feature that allows you to have a master course that propagates changes across all other courses that link to its lessons.

Protect your content

We know it takes a lot of hard work to develop the content. Therefore we make sure your content is protected all the time. You can specifically allow or disallow downloading and printing of your content even to users who are enrolled in the courses.

Access from anywhere

In addition to your microsite, your courses can be accessed from any place where you embed them. We currently support: iPad / iOS / android via our mobile app or web browser. If your organization uses Atlassian Confluence, we also have a native integration via EduBrite’s Gilly.

Authoring Permissions

We all work in teams, therefore we allow you to share authoring rights with a specific group of users. Group authoring can be as broad or granulated as you would like to set it as.

Bulk Import

Bulk upload zip files from your computer to avoid one by one lesson creation. Once uploaded, just drag and drop the lessons and re-organize them as you like.

Migration from Other Sources

We have a variety of tools to migrate your content (documents, presentations, audio, video, quizzes) from other LMSs or from your own computer.

Test/Assessment/Survey Authoring Features

Online Quiz/Survey Editor

Create a variety of question types in our simple to use WYSIWYG editor. Our authoring tool presents questions to the author exactly as it would appear to a test taker for quick A B testing. You can do rich text formatting, insert any number of media anywhere in the question or choices. Media supported include: Text, embed audio, video and lastly HTML5. You can also print the test in PDF format, if you like to deliver it offline.

Import from Word Documents

Create complete tests with hundreds of questions easily with full formatting, including embedded images and mathematical formulas offline via our MS Word template. Additionally, you can upload our template to create a new test or add additional questions in an existing test.

14 Question Types

14 different types of question formats to choose from such as single or multiple response, fill in the blanks, sequencing, column matching, Likert scale, hotspot or essay. This gives you the power and flexibility to create questions for any kind of assessment.

Sections and Passages

You can create passages with information about a set of questions to follow in the test. If your test has a longer duration, you can group the questions into sections and specify the available time for each section.

Scoring Criteria

We have several scoring options like a points system that can be used for each question. Options for our point system include: Penalty points for wrong answers, partial points that can be awarded for questions with multiple correct choices, and weighted points for different answers in likert type questions (also known as Vertical and Horizontal grid type questions in EduBrite). EduBrite also lets you review and score essay type questions manually.

Controls for test takers

You can specify several options in the test editor to configure the experience for test takers. For example you can: Specify how many questions to show on each page, allow or disallow functions like pause or going back to previous questions. Lastly you can require every question to be answered before allowing the learner to proceed to the next question.

Prevent cheating

Question pooling can be used with randomization of questions as well as randomization of choices to make the test look unique to each test taker. We also disable printing or copy paste actions in the tests to prevent your data.

Adaptive tests

For advanced use cases like college exams, you can create rule based adaptive tests which can dynamically branch out to different categories that are unique to the learner based on the previous responses by the test taker.

Question bank / Question Pooling

You can reuse questions you once created and add them to new tests easily by using the import tool in the test editor. Each question can also be additionally tagged with specific subjects and topics to categorize them in the site question bank for easy access in the future.
